BC Card (CEO Lee Moon-hwan) made an announcement that they will provide card payment services to visiting customers at the Shanghai Provisional Government of Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of it.

As a result, customers will be able to pay for tickets that were only available for cash with BC UnionPay Card and QR. Because the payment method used in Korea can be used as it is, unnecessary efforts such as currency exchange can be saved.

The measure was taken by the Korean Consulate General in Shanghai(General Consulate General Choi Young-sam) and BC Card with the cooperation of Shanghai City.

On the afternoon of September 17 (local time), the opening ceremony for the payment of BC UnionPay Card was held at the Shanghai Provisional Government of ROK with the attendance of BC Card President Lee Moon-hwan, Vice President Lee Kang-hyuk and other major officials. After the opening ceremony, major officials' payment demonstration events were also held.

"Shanghai Provisional Government of ROK," Korea's representative anti-Japanese historical site in China, was a major center for the Korean independence movement against Japan from 1926 to 1932. For Korean tourists visiting Shanghai, it is considered as a must-see tour course. BC Card will also apply the same payment service to other anti-Japanese sites in China. Thanks to that, Korean customers will be able to visit more conveniently.

BC Card will also contribute an additional 50 percent of the total amount of tickets paid by customers by Nov. 30 to organizations related to the Shanghai Provisional Government of ROK. By this, customers can reflect on the historical meaning as well as make donations during the corresponding period.

"The Shanghai Provisional Government of ROK is an important historical site that has made the Republic of Korea what it is today" said BC Card CEO Lee Moon-hwan. "We developed payment services with the consulate general so as to make Korean customers to visit more conveniently," he said, adding "BC Card plans to provide various payment means not only at homeland but also abroad so that Koreans can conveniently visit historical places in the future".
