BC Card (CEO Lee Moon Hwan) has given a special summer vacation to the local children's center that has been established with BC Card.

On July 26, BC Card conducted volunteer work for "The Love, Sun Rises," which supports various cultural experience activities for the joint local children's center at "Seoul Upcycling Plaza," located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

"The Love, Sun Rises" is a volunteer activity in which BC Card has formed ties with six local children's centers located in the Seoul metropolitan area since 2011 to support various cultural experience activities, including theater role play, food therapy and educational support. BC Card is engaged in 'The Love, Sun Rises' activities under the theme of 'Environment' this year.

The volunteer work was attended by a volunteer group of 19 BC Card interns. KT Group Hope Sharing Foundation, Social Enterprise Touch for Good and Korean Council for Cultural and Welfare also worked together to add meaning.

On the same day, BC Card Employees Volunteer Group had an opportunity to promote environmental protection awareness for its children by supporting the "Seoul Upcycling Plaza" tour and "upcycling" experience activities. Upcycling refers to the process of adding a new design or utilization to a recyclable product to increase the value of the product.

"It was an opportunity to experience various activities with children and realize the value of sharing as well as the importance of the environment," said Lee So-jeong, an intern at Product Processing 2 Center, who participated in the volunteer work. "We hope the children will have a summer vacation that they will never forget."

"This year's ninth year of 'The Love, Sun Rises' volunteer work is meaningful to interns," said Choi Seog-jin, executive vice president of BC Card. "We will continue to share the warmth of BC Card wherever we need help."

Meanwhile, BC Card is actively taking the lead in environmental protection by issuing green cards with eco-friendly materials and launching a paperless business in which it carries out social contribution activities at a cost of reducing paper receipts.
