BC Card distributed "400 Servings of Warm Love" to the vulnerable social group

  • BC Card held a 'Love Sharing Festival' to share healthy foods and necessities to the vulnerable social group of the region in the morning of 9th at Guro-gu office

BC Card (Mun-whan Lee, President and CEO, www.bccard.com) along with the Guro-gu district office and the KT Group Hope Sharing Foundation, held a ‘Love Sharing Festival’ for 400 people of vulnerable social group in the Guro-gu district.

The 'Love Sharing Festival' was attended by the 10th 'Red Food Car Volunteers' and KT Group employee volunteers, and an event was held for 400 people of vulnerable social group including senior citizens who live alone and handicapped people of the Guro-gu area to share health food and five types of daily necessities (rice, red pepper paste, etc.).

They also provided free legal counseling, which was difficult for the vulnerable social group to access due to high costs, and presented various attractions such as cultural performances.

Meanwhile, the 10th 'Red Food Car Volunteers' selected by BC Card together with the KT Group Hope Sharing Foundation consisted of 106 ordinary people including university students, housewives and 13 mentors of KT group employees including KT ds. They are planning to carry out free food distribution volunteer work for the vulnerable social groups along with 'Red Rood Car' in seven regions (Seoul, Incheon, Daegu, Ulsan, Gimhae, Gwangju and Yeosu) for the next 6 months.

"BC Card has donated 'Red Food Car' to social welfare organizations nationwide since 2005, and has been actively sharing with local communities," said Seok-jin Choi, Executive Vice President of BC Card (in charge of Communication Division). "We will continue to share love and hope with the country’s vulnerable social groups and will consistently practice the philosophy of coexistence”, he further commented.
