Title BC-Union Pay mobile pre-paid card has been released. Date 2012.11.27

BC Card(CEO Lee, Gang-tae, www.bccard.com) revealed on the 27th that it released BC-Union Pay Mobile Pre-paid Card, which can be used conveniently in the mobile settings.

 

BC-Union Pay Pre-paid Card has been issued up to now on a continual basis since its first release in 2008 and is the product to be issued as a form of mobile card for the sake of providing various kinds of payment options to customers.

 

BC-Union Pay Pre-paid Card can be used in all the member stores in China and Korea; BC-Union Pay Mobile Pre-paid Card can be used in all kinds of online stores, CU and GS25 in Korea, and will continue to expand the places where it can be used.

 

BC-Union Mobile Pre-paid Card can be issued by applying for membership in KT authorized retail stores, KT-managed M & S shops, and KT plazas, etc. Any KT customers eligible for the mobile cards can apply.

 

Events for celebrating the release of product are in progress as well. 100 thousand customers on a first-come, first-served basis who apply for BC-Union Mobile Pre-paid Card by the 31st December will be given 10 thousand KRW to be deposited in their pre-paid card.(One time per customer. 10 thousand voucher is limited to the customers to whom mobile cards are issued after applying for plastic cards.)

 

The BC Card staff mentioned that “more than 3 thousand people in Korea are currently using smart phones, meaning that the market for mobile payment will be invigorated further from next year, I guess.” He added that BC Card would provide a variety of more specialized service for convenient payment in the mobile settings by various means including BC-Union Pay Mobile Pre-paid Card, etc.

 

Moreover, BC Card is scheduled to aim for vitalizing mobile payment by way of various means of payment in which include the service of USIM chip-based mobile cards, speed secure payment, and smart order, etc. that can be paid in the mobile settings without USIM chips.
