BC Card (CEO Lee Dong-myun) announced on the 18th that it will supply card payment data to Singapore National University (SNU).

Currently, the School of Design & Environment at the SNU has formed a team of researchers and is studying the correlation between the COVID-19 and "economic resilience according to the spatial structure of cities in the world."

Related to this, researchers at the SNU requested BC Card to supply payment data for analyzing South Korea's consumption activities after the spread of COVID-19.

BC Card plans to supply data on card payments from January to August last year, when COVID-19 began to spread in South Korea as the request of researchers at the SNU.

"This supply contract is the first step for BC Card's payment data to leap into the world," said Lim Se-hyun, head of BC Card's big data center. "We will continue to make efforts to provide differentiated digital experiences to customers with the largest and the most qualified payment data."

Meanwhile, BC Card was selected as the organizer of the Financial Big Data Platform (www.bigdata-finance.kr) by the Ministry of Science and ICT in July 2019, providing various convergence data with 12 data providers.

In addition, since December last year, the company has actively become a financial data platform operator by collaborating with seven value-added network companies (VAN) and Payment Gateway (PG) for the first time in the industry.
